Psyche is the Greek goddess of the soul and often represented as a beautiful woman with butterfly wings.

The name Psyche means "soul" in Greek and was commonly referred to as such in Roman mythology as well, though direct translation is Anima (Latin word for "soul").

She was born a mortal woman eventually granted immortality, with beauty that rivaled even Aphrodite, goddess of love.

Inspired by Psyche in Greek Mythology, a beautiful maiden personifying human soul.

She is the symbol of the soul purified by passions and misfortunes and prepared to enjoy eternal happiness.

Her beautiful sadness gives me the inspiration to create a piece that shows the soothing, tranquil, and poetic atmosphere of northern Taiwan.
